Where we’ve been.

Habitat has hammered Clallam County.

We constructed our first set of homes in Port Angeles, then moved on to a 10-house build in Sequim— and we haven’t looked back since.

In addition to our singular builds across the county, our most recent major neighborhood is 15 new-home builds (+ 1 refurbished) on the west side of Port Angeles.

Comprised of a mix of 3 bd/ 2ba & 3 bd/2 1a modest homes, the sweet neighborhood was completed in 2023.

Where we’re headed.

Much-needed Workforce Housing.

In mid-2025, Habitat Clallam will begin working on the infrastructure for some of our largest, most ambitious projects yet. They include at 40+ new-homes build in Carlsborg, followed by another 50+ homes in Sequim.

Clallam County is perfect example of the housing issues felt across the nation. Affordable housing has become a #1 priority in our area. This is due in part to the stark difference between median household income amounts1 and average monthly mortgage payments2. It’s also due to a low inventory of homes to buy.

At Habitat Clallam, we believe everyone deserves a decent place to live. And we intend to “Build What We Believe”—which is a number of affordable, modest, well-built homes for local families to own and make memories.

1 Clallam County has one of the lowest median household incomes (average annual wage) in Washington State: $55,090.

2 In 2024, the average monthly mortgage payment for a median house in Clallam County was $2,910.

Where we are now.

Homes for the brave.

Located on the West side of Port Angeles, our single-story, 4-plex townhomes are a special project for Veterans (and their families). We are proud to participate in Veterans Build, Habitat for Humanity’s national initiative to provide housing solutions and volunteer opportunities to U.S. veterans, military service members, and their families.

Clallam County has one of the highest percentages of Veterans in the U.S. Unlike older civilians, our older veterans are more likely to have a disability — 35% versus 28% — which may require home modifications, health, and other supportive services as they age.

The 2bd/1ba homes include ADA-visitable layouts, allowing extra space for many different types of mobility-enhancing devices, including wheelchairs.
